NEW YORK (AP) Yakov survived a foul claim and a stewards' inquiry Friday to win the $62,000 allowance feature for New York breds at Aqueduct.

Yakov set the pace in the mile race, beating Clifton Pleasure by a length. Manny Franco, the jockey on Clifton Pleasure, lodged an objection against the winner for interference in the deep stretch. After a video review, the stewards let the result stand.

Trained by Oscar Barrera III and ridden by Irad Ortiz Jr., the 4-year-old Yakov finished in 1:36.29 and paid $12.60, $6.10 and $3.10 for his fourth win in 35 starts. Clifton Pleasure returned $5.40 and $3.10, and Igotthediscoinme paid $2.40 to show as the even-money favorite.
