LOS ALAMITOS, Calif. (AP) Justin Squared led all the way to win the $51,796 feature by 1 3/4 lengths Thursday at Los Alamitos, making Martin Pedroza the track's winningest thoroughbred jockey with 87 career victories.

Pedroza's win broke a tie with Frank Olivares. His victories include riding at Orange County Fair meets from 1977-91.

''I've been riding here for a long time, so this means a lot to me,'' the 50-year-old jockey said.

Justin Squared ran six furlongs in 1:08.46 and paid $6, $3.80 and $3.60 as the 2-1 favorite. Trained by Bob Baffert, Justin Squared was making his first start since winning his debut on Sept. 5 at Del Mar.

The victory, worth $27,600, increased Justin Squared's career earnings to $69,600.

Mrazek returned $5.20 and $3.80, while 20-1 shot Gutsy Ruler was another 3 1/4 lengths back in third and paid $6 to show.

Baffert's other entry, 3-1 second choice American Pride, finished eighth.
