The 2016 Kentucky Derby will be held on Saturday at Churchill Downs.

Last year’s winner, American Pharoah, went on to become the first horse since Affirmed in 1978 to win the Triple Crown of the Kentucky Derby, Preakness Stakes and Belmont Stakes.

This year’s favorite is the undefeated Nyquist at 10–3 odds. A strong challenge is expected from Exaggerator and Mohaymen at 8–1 odds. A majority of the early money bet in Las Vegas was being placed on Mohaymen, according to William Hill’s United States sports book.
