Spin Cycle cleans up in Belmont Park feature

NEW YORK (AP) Spin Cycle rallied for a two-length victory over Man of Wiregrass on Friday in the $62,000 allowance feature for New York bred 3-year-olds on the turf at Belmont Park.

Spin Cycle sat third as Man of Wiregrass and Uncle Youdge dictated the pace in the mile race. Confidently ridden by Chris DeCarlo, Spin Cycle took charge in deep stretch and drew clear for his second win in eight starts. The gelding trained by John Kimmel is 2 for 2 over the Belmont course.

The time was 1:34.98.

Spin Cycle paid $11.20, $6.20 and $4.20. Man of Wiregrass returned $6.30 and $4.20, and Uncle Youdge paid $7.70 to show.
