Clarification: Belmont Stakes story

NEW YORK (AP) In a story June 11, The Associated Press reported that trainer Steve Asmussen was cleared by racing authorities in Kentucky and New York of allegations made by PETA about the way he treated his horses. The story should have specified that while Asmussen was cleared of most of the allegations, the New York Gaming Commission fined him $10,000 for unlawfully administering Thyroxine, a hormone, within 48 hours of races.
