Cloud Control, Louisville First win NY Stallion Stakes

NEW YORK (AP) Cloud Control and Louisville First were the upset winners of the $100,000 divisions of the New York Stallion Stakes for 3-year-olds on the turf Sunday at Belmont Park.

Cloud Control, 6-1, rallied to take the colt and gelding division by a length over Bust Another. It was his first victory in three tries.

Angel Arroyo was aboard for trainer John Kimmel as Cloud Control paid $14.60 to win.

The time was 1:21.85 for the seven furlongs on the firm course.

Louisville First stormed home at 14-1 to capture the filly division by a half length over Little Bear Cat.

Eric Cancel rode for trainer George Weaver as Louisville First got her second win in seven starts. She paid $30 to win.

The time was 1:21.97.
