Davina Comedia wins Southern Truce Stakes at Santa Anita

ARCADIA, Calif. (AP) Davina Comedia overtook pacesetter Living The Life with three furlongs to go and went on to a 1 3/4-length victory in the $75,000 Southern Truce Stakes for older fillies and mares on Sunday at Santa Anita.

Ridden by Joe Talamo, Davina Comedia ran 1 1/16 miles in 1:42.89 and paid $35, $12.40 and $7 at 16-1 odds.

Gloryzapper returned $4.20 and $3, while Show Stealer was another head back in third and paid $4.80 to show.

The victory, worth $47,100, increased Divina Comedia's career earnings to $218,272, with four wins in 18 starts. It was her first stakes win for trainer Simon Callaghan.
