NEW YORK (AP) Tejana dictated the pace and pulled clear in the lane to remain unbeaten with a 4 1/4-length victory Wednesday in the $77,000 allowance feature for fillies and mares at Belmont Park.

The 3-year-old trained by Shug McGaughey improved to 2 for 2 as she stretched out to a mile for the first time. Edgar Prado has been aboard for both victories.

The time was 1:37.40 on fast track.

Tejana paid $5.10, $3 and $2.40 as the 3-2 second choice.

Literata, the 6-5 favorite, returned $2.50 and $2.10. Wembley paid $2.40 to show.
