Dream Team wins feature by half-length at Los Alamitos

LOS ALAMITOS, Calif. (AP) Dream Team won the $54,890 feature by a half-length Friday at Los Alamitos.

Ridden by Tiago Pereira, Dream Team ran a mile in 1:35.98 and paid $11.80, $5.20 and $3.80 as the 9-2 fourth choice.

Howdy returned $8.60 and $5.40, while stablemate Just Kidding was another 2 3/4 lengths back in third and paid $6 to show.

Grazen Sky, the 8-5 favorite, finished fifth in the field of seven.

The victory, worth $30,000, increased Dream Team's career earnings to $142,020, with four wins in 11 starts.

Trained by Sal Gonzalez, Dream Team was making his second start since being claimed for $32,000 by Tricar Stables on July 24. Previously, the 4-year-old colt was trained by Hall of Famer Bob Baffert.
