Fourstar Crook strikes again in Belmont's Hettinger Stakes

NEW YORK (AP) Fourstar Crook struck again, extending her winning streak to six Sunday in the $125,000 John Hettinger Stakes for New York bred fillies and mares at Belmont Park.

The streak, which began with her maiden victory here last October, includes the Yaddo Stakes last time out at Saratoga.

The 4-year-old trained by Chad Brown and ridden by Javier Castellano rallied four wide in the lane to beat The Tea Cups by 2 1/4 lengths as the 6/5 favorite.

The time was 1:49.27 for the 1 1/8 miles on the firm turf course.

Fourstar Crook paid $4.50, $3.10 and $2.50.

The Tea Cups returned $4.60 and $4.10, and Selenite paid $7.60 to show.
