Atomic Rule wins turf feature at Santa Anita

ARCADIA, Calif. (AP) Atomic Rule rallied three-wide turning for home and outran 2-1 favorite Curlin Rules to win the $55,000 feature by 2 1/4 lengths Friday at Santa Anita.

Ridden by Tiago Pereira, Atomic Rule ran 1 1/8 miles on turf in 1:46.35 and paid $14, $6.20 and $3.20.

Curlin Rules returned $4 and $3, while Little Scotty was another neck back in third and paid $3.60 to show.

The victory, worth $42,900, increased Atomic Rule's career earnings to $270,440, with 10 wins in 33 starts for trainer Richard Baltas.
