Angry Moon shines in Belmont Park feature

NEW YORK (AP) Angry Moon led all the way Thursday for a 1 3/4-length victory in the $90,000 allowance feature at Belmont Park.

The 5-year-old chestnut with distinctive white blinkers posted a second straight win, improving his career mark to 8 for 23.

Mike Luzzi was aboard the 6-1 shot for trainer Chris Englehart.

The time was 1:10.07 for six furlongs on the track labeled good. Angry Moon paid $15, $6 and $3.90.

Life in Shambles, the 9/5 favorite, was bottled up in traffic until shaking free in the stretch and rallying for second. He returned $3.80 and $2.60. All Star Red paid $2.30 to show.
