Miss Sky Warrior soars in Aqueduct's Tempted Stakes

NEW YORK (AP) Miss Sky Warrior held off Berned by three-quarters of a length Saturday in the $200,000 Tempted Stakes for 2-year-old fillies at Aqueduct.

It was the second win in three starts for the 2-1 favorite trained by Kelly Breen and ridden by Paco Lopez.

''She was just a little green and she'll learn from this,'' Breen said. ''That's a good sign, as far as I can tell.''

The time was 1:38.62 for a mile. Miss Sky Warrior paid $6.20, $3.90 and $2.80.

Berned returned $6 and $3.20, and Eloquent Riddle paid $2.90 to show.
