DEL MAR, Calif. (AP) Defiantly rallied through the stretch to overhaul Mittersill and win the $80,445 Let It Ride Stakes for 3-year-olds by a neck Saturday at Del Mar.

Ridden by Hall of Famer Gary Stevens, Defiantly ran a mile on turf in 1:34.80 and paid $29.60, $10.80 and $4.80 at 13-1 odds, the longest shot in the field.

Curlin Rules, the 8-5 favorite, faded to fourth.

The victory, worth $46,440, increased Defiantly's career earnings to $110,685, with two wins in seven races.
