NEW YORK (AP) Irad Ortiz Jr. rode four winners Sunday at Aqueduct, including Mighty Moses in the $67,000 allowance feature.
Mighty Moses won for the second time in nine starts and completed the mile in 1:37.63 for a one-length victory.
Breaking from the outside post in the nine-horse field, Mighty Moses closely tracked the pace set by Prince Zurs. The 3-year-old colt trained by Rudy Rodriguez took over in deep stretch and held off the closing bid from Nigel's Destiny.
The winner paid $8.60, $4.30 and $3.60. Nigel's Destiny returned $9.30 and $6.30. Prince Zurs held on for third, showing at $7.40.
