This year's Kentucky Derby field appears to be wide open, with 20 horses presently on tap to run in the prestigious race.

The final lineup has been released and posts have been assigned, with just a few days until the derby.

The early favorites are McCraken, Gunnevera, Classic Empire and Always Dreaming, according to OddsShark. Classic Empire is coming off a win at the Arkansas Derby on April 15. Always Dreaming won the Grade 1 Florida Derby on April 1.
