2017 Kentucky Derby odds: Favorites, contenders, betting lines
The 2017 Kentucky Derby will take place on Saturday, May 6.
The post time for the main race is 6:34 p.m. ET. The races will be broadcast on NBC starting at 2:30 p.m. ET.
Last year’s winner, Nyquist, took off as a 2–1 favorite. Nyquist went on to finish third in the Preakness Stakes and was pulled out of the Belmont because of an illness.
Bookmakers haven't settled on a single odds-on favorite yet for this year's running of the Derby. Classic Empire has the best odds as of Thursday at 11:50 a.m. ET, but McCraken and Irish War Cry aren't far behind.
