The races will be broadcast on NBC from 2:30 p.m. to 7:20 p.m. ET.
Always Dreaming is the early favorite for the race. Last year's winner was Nyquist and jockey Mario Gutierrez.
American Pharoah won the previous year and went on to win the Triple Crown.
