The 2017 Preakness Stakes will be held on May 20 at the Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore, Maryland. 

The Preakness Stakes are traditionally held on the third Saturday every May.

The race is 1 3/16 miles long.

The Preakness is the second leg of the Triple Crown. It is preceded by the Kentucky Derby, which is held on the first Saturday of May, and then followed by the Belmont Stakes on the first Saturday of June.
