Sports Illustrated, Variety to host sports entertainment summit

Sports Illustrated and Variety are partnering to host a Sports Entertainment Industry Summit at the Vibiana in Los Angeles on July 14.
The one-day summit, which includes speakers from across the sports industry, is being organized to examine all aspects of the future of sports entertainment. The event is just one aspect of a partnership between SI and Variety.
Topics that will be discussed at the inaugural summit include live sports coverage, in-stadium/arena entertainment, sports marketing, VR and augmented reality and sports storytelling.
Retired Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant headlines the event’s keynote spakers. He will be joined by Miami heat guard Dwyane Wade, Los Angeles Rams general manager Kevin Demoff and Rams coach Jeff Fisher.
Speakers from a range of organizations, including ESPN, Turner Sports, Instagram and NFL media, will also be present.

Other speakers at the summit include high–profile figures from league and team front offices, as well as some of the biggest names in sports media.
