Pat McAfee Offers Priceless Reaction to First F-Bomb on ESPN: ‘Oooh, Can’t Say That’

The popular talk show host and former Indianapolis Colts punter still is adjusting to ESPN’s rules about swearing.

The Pat McAfee Show moved to ESPN this month, but it seems the host still is adapting to some of the new rules his program has to abide by.

During Tuesday’s episode, McAfee accidentally let an F-bomb slip during the broadcast, something he’d previously expressed that members of the show would be prohibited from doing.

When discussing the injury to Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers, and the subsequent status update provided by coach Robert Saleh, McAfee dropped an inadvertent F-bomb, to which he had a priceless reaction after realizing his gaffe.

“I was holding out optimism until Saleh comes up to the thing and goes, ‘Yep, popped his Achilles. We’re f—ked,’” said McAfee, imitating Saleh. After letting loose the expletive, the 36-year-old immediately covered his mouth and said “Oooh! Can’t say that.”

Back when McAfee’s show was under the FanDuel banner, members of the program had free reign to use profanity as they pleased. That doesn’t fly at ESPN, though McAfee appeared to have used the f-bomb unintentionally.

It didn’t take long for the host to slip up, and he’ll likely be utilizing an added sense of caution with his words going forward.
