Report: Blue Jays' Adam Lind out 6-8 weeks with foot fracture

Blue Jays first baseman/designated hitter Adam Lind said he's going to be out the next six to eight weeks with a non-displaced fracture in his right foot, Gregor Chisolm of MLB.com tweeted Wednesday night.
The news comes after Lind went for an MRI -- something his mother pushed him to get, according to Chisolm -- and it revealed the fracture. Lind had played as recently as Monday in the 5-2 loss to the Angels but said the chronic discomfort in his foot had not been getting better.

The Blue Jays are also without Edwin Encarnacion, who was placed on the 15-day disabled list on Monday with a strained right quadriceps.
Toronto has cooled off as of late, losing six of its last seven, and now finds itself second in the AL East heading into Friday's game in Tampa Bay against the Rays.
