Brewers center fielder Carlos Gomez is expected to miss extended time with a sprained left wrist.
The 28-year-old will be shut down for one week before resuming baseball drills, "so this could be a couple weeks absence," Haudricourt reported on Twitter.
Gomez, who made his second All-Star team this season, is hitting .282 with 21 home runs and 65 RBIs in 127 games. He is three homers and eight RBIs shy of his career highs in those categories, set last season.
