Keith Olbermann: Derek Jeter not among 10 best Yankees

ESPN personality Keith Olbermann opened his show on Tuesday by taking parting shots at New York shortstop Derek Jeter, saying the 14-time All-Star is overrated and probably doesn't belong in a list of the 10 greatest ever Yankees.  

Olbermann said Jeter has been mediocre since the pinstripes last dominated Major League Baseball in the 1990s and reeled off his list of Yankees who had better careers than The Captain: Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Mickey Mantle, Joe DiMaggio, Thurman Munson, Mike Mussina, Willie Randolph, Graig Nettles, Red Ruffing and, as Olbermann said, "heaven forbid A-Rod."

The 40-year-old five-time World Series champion, who made his MLB debut with the Yankees in May 1995, now has just five games remaining before he officially retires.
