Watch: Derek Jeter doubles in first at-bat of final game at Yankee Stadium

Derek Jeter picked up an RBI double, narrowly missing a home run, in his first at-bat during his final game at Yankee Stadium.

Derek Jeter almost began the final home game of his career with a bang. In the first at-bat of what will be his last game at Yankee Stadium, the Yankees' captain missed a home run by inches, blasting a double off the wall in leftfield. His two-bagger scored Brett Gardner from first base, giving Jeter his 47th RBI of the season and putting New York's first run on the board.

That double, Jeter's 19th of the season, also made a bit of history, as it was the 544th of his 20-year career. That moves Jeter past Tony Gwynn on the all-time list for career doubles, giving him sole possession of 30th place.

Jeter advanced to third base on a wild pitch and came around to score on an error. The Yankees ended up scoring twice in the bottom of the first, responding to two Orioles' homers in the top of the frame.
