Robinson Cano, Yasiel Puig highlight MLB roster for Japan All-Star Series

Seattle Mariners second baseman Robinson Cano and Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig highlight MLB's roster for the Japan All-Star series. The team will be coached by Boston Red Sox manager John Farrell and he will have one of his former bosses, Cleveland Indians' manager Terry Francona, on his staff.

Seattle Mariners second baseman Robinson Cano and Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig highlight MLB's Japan All-Star Series roster, which the league revealed Friday.

The team will be coached by Boston Red Sox manager John Farrell and he will have one of his former bosses, Cleveland Indians manager Terry Francona, on his staff.

Tampa Bay Rays' third baseman Evan Longoria, Colorado Rockies first baseman Justin Morneau and Houston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve are a few of the other star players on the team.

The seven-game schedule will begin Nov. 11 and last until Nov. 20. The games will air on the MLB Network. 

The MLB All-Star team will take on the Hanshin Tigers and Yomiuri Giants on Nov. 11 and then play a five-game series with the Japanese National team. The MLB All-Stars will play in the Kyocera Dome in Osaka, the Tokyo Dome and Sapporo Dome, Nov. 14 through Nov. 20. The series has not been played since 2006.
