Tuesday's Los Angeles Dodgers-San Diego Padres game at Chavez Ravine was delayed by rain, the first rain delay at Dodger Stadium since May 23, 2008.

The game began 49 minutes after the scheduled start time.

The Dodgers have not had a home game rained out since 2000.

This was the second unusual rain delay in the first two days of the MLB season. On Monday, the Miami Marlins had their game briefly delayed by rain after the team miscalculated the weather forecast and left the stadium's roof open. The Marlins didn't even have a tarp to put over the field while the roof was being closed.
