Cuddyer was the second Mets player to be hit that inning by Phillies pitcher David Buchanan, as Wilmer Flores was hit five batters prior.

Kirk Nieuwenhuis pinch ran for Cuddyer, replacing him in left field.

Cuddyer entered Tuesday hitting .276 with one home run and four RBI in eight games this season. The Mets signed the 36-year-old to a two-year, $21 million deal last November.
