The Chicago White Sox will call up top prospect Carlos Rodon Monday, according to multiple reports.

Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports was first to report the news, followed by the Chicago Tribune's Colleen Kane and others.

Rodon, a 22-year-old lefthanded pitcher, is ranked as the franchise's top prospect by  MLB.com and Baseball America. Both publications rank him among the top 15 prospects in baseball.

Rodon was selected with the third pick in last year's draft after three seasons at North Carolina State University. He pitched 24 1/3 innings across three minor-league levels in 2014, with a 2.96 ERA and 38 strikeouts. He led the NCAA in strikeouts as a sophomore in 2013.

In 17 2/3 spring training innings this year, Rodon had a 3.06 ERA and 21 strikeouts.

Rodon was a starter in college and in the minors but will initially be used out of the bullpen in the majors, Rosenthal reports.
