Chicago Cubs rookie third baseman Kris Bryanthit his first MLB home run Saturday night against the Milwaukee Brewers.

The three-run shot came in the third inning off an 83 mph slider from Brewers righthander Kyle Lohse, the first pitch of the at-bat.

The home run scored Addison Russell and Dexter Fowler, giving the Cubs a 3–0 lead at Miller Park.

Bryant was called up from Triple A Iowa last month. His first MLB hit came April 18, on a broken-bat RBI single in a 7–6 win over the San Diego Padres.

After returning to the dugout, Bryant was greeted by an empty dugout while the Cubs hid in the tunnel to the clubhouse.
