In his major league debut, Texas Rangers third baseman Joey Gallo hit a two-run single in his first big-league at-bat.

As if that wasn't enough, the former minor league star known for his power crushed an upper-deck home run in his following at-bat in what would eventually result in a 15–2 rout of the White Sox.

The Rangers called Gallo up on Tuesday from Double A Frisco to stand in for injured third baseman Adrian Beltre, who is out at least two weeks with an injured thumb.

Gallo earned a curtain call after the home run, and even got a standing ovation from his parents who were on hand for the game.
