Yankees catcher Brian McCann hit a walk-off, three-run home run in the 12th inning to give New York a 7–5 win over the Tampa Bay Rays Friday night at Yankee Stadium.

McCann, who came to the plate 0-for-4 and with one out in the inning, lined a 93 mph fastball from Rays righthander Steve Geltz to right field, bringing home Gregorio Petit and Mark Teixeira for the Yankees’ second straight win and a one-game lead over the Baltimore Orioles in the AL East.

The home run came after the Rays had scored two runs in the top of the 12th on a pair of singles by Kevin Kiermaier and Rene Rivera.
