White Sox rightfielder Avisail Garcia had some Independence Day heroics for the fans at U.S. Cellular Field when he made a leaping grab in the ninth inning to rob the Orioles' Chris Davis of what would have been a game-tying solo home run.

Chicago lead 3–2 with one out as Davis, who has 18 home runs on the year, stepped to the plate on Saturday afternoon and hit a ball deep into rightfield off closer David Robertson that appeared like it would even up the score until Garcia made a leaping catch above the fence.

The game also saw a tremendous pitching performance from White Sox starter Jeff Samardzija, who took a no hitter through 5 2/3 innings before it was broken up by Baltimore second baseman Ryan Flaherty.
