Marlins second baseman Dee Gordon left his team's game against the Reds on Saturday due to a dislocated left thumb suffered while sliding headfirst into first base in the seventh inning.

Fox Sports' Ken Rosenthal reports that Gordon avoided a break and that the team is hopeful he will be back on the field in the next two weeks. The injured hand will, however, prevent Gordon from appearing in Tuesday's All-Star Game. Gordon had been chosen as the National League's starting second baseman via the fan vote.

MLB has announced that the Marlins' star will be replaced in the NL's lineup by Rockies second baseman DJ LeMahieu, who was already on the roster as a reserve. Gordon's roster spot will go to Rockies shortstop Troy Tulowitzki, who was on the NL Final Vote ballot but lost to Cardinals pitcher Carlos Martinez.

Gordon currently leads baseball in total hits with 119 and is second in stolen bases with 33.
