One of the wrinkles created by the new Home Run Derby format is the potential for buzzer-beaters, which is just what we got in the final first-round matchup of the night.

Cubs rookie Kris Bryant hit nine homers in his matchup against Albert Pujols and the Angels slugger tied him as the clock approached zero.

With just seconds remaining, Pujols had time for one more swing and made it count. He belted a long fly ball to deep leftfield, 427 feet from the plate and advanced to face crosstown rival Joc Pederson in the semifinals.
