Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig is available in a trade if the return is right, USA Today’s Bob Nightengale reports

“The Dodgers have let teams know that Yasiel Puig is available in the right deal, but teams showing much more interest in their prospects,” Nightengale reports.

Jon Heyman of CBS Sports reported Saturday that Puig had been informed by Dodgers officials that he will not be traded this season.

Puig is the Dodgers’ starting rightfielder but they do have outfield depth. Rookie Joc Pederson and veteran Andre Ethier occupy the other two spots in the Los Angeles outfield. Scott Van Slyke is the team’s fourth outfielder and Carl Crawford recently returned from a lengthy stint on the disabled list. Utilitymen Enrique Hernandez and Alex Guerrero can both play in the infield or outfield.

Puig is having the worst offensive season of his three-year career. He is batting .253 with a .750 OPS in 53 games.
