The Yankees have activated CC Sabathia (right knee inflammation) off the disabled list, with the veteran set to start on Wednesday night against the Orioles.
Sabathia, who has been dealing with right knee inflammation, is slated to pitch Wednesday night's series finale against the Baltimore Orioles and will wear a protective knee brace. The addition of Sabathia comes just one day after the team lost starter Nathan Eovaldi for the rest of the regular season with an elbow injury.
In his 24 starts on the year, Sabathia is 4–9 with a 5.27 ERA. In his two starts against the Orioles in 2015, Sabathia has allowed eight runs in 12 innings.
The Yankees sit 1 1/2 games behind the Toronto Blue Jays in the American League East with a 77–60 record.
