After giving up a double in the top of the seventh inning, Washington Nationals starting pitcher Max Scherzer saw manager Matt Williams approach the mound and yelled toward him to allow him to finish the inning.

"I want it," Scherzer appears to have told Williams. "I  f****** want it. I f****** want it."

Two pitches later, Scherzer got Marlins second baseman Dee Gordon to ground out and finish the inning.

Scherzer finished the night having pitched seven innings while allowing two runs on five hits and striking out six.
