Blue Jays outfielder Jose Bautista capped a wild inning in Game 5 of the ALDS against the Rangers with a massive three-run homer.

In the top of the seventh inning, a controversial call created a tense environment. The bottom of the seventh started with three straight errors and a fourth error allowed the Blue Jays to score the tying run.

Bautista came to the plate with the game tied 3–3 and smashed a long home run to deep leftfield.

Bautista stared down Texas pitcher Sam Dyson and tossed his bat away emphatically, prompting players from both dugouts to spill out onto the field.

During the on-field confrontation, the Toronto fans began throwing beer cans and other trash from the stands.

The inning took a total of 53 minutes to complete.
