Mariners acquire Adam Lind from Brewers for three minor leaguers
Wednesday December 9th, 2015

The Mariners have acquired first baseman Adam Lind in a trade with the Brewers, the team announced Wednesday. Jon Heyman of CBS Sports was first to report the deal.

In exchange, the Brewers received three righthanded minor-league pitchers: Carlos Herrera, Daniel Missaki and Freddy Peralta, all of whom are 19 or younger.

Lind, 32, spent last season in Milwaukee after being traded from the Blue Jays in exchange for pitcher Marco Estrada. He batted .277 with an .820 OPS, 20 home runs and 87 RBIs in 149 games. He will earn $8 million this season after the Brewers exercised a one-year team option and will be a free agent after the season.

New Mariners general manager Jerry Dipoto has made several trades since taking over the team in late September, including sending first baseman Logan Morrison to the Rays last month. Seattle also acquired pitcher Wade Miley from the Red Sox in exchange for pitcher Carson Smith earlier this week
