The Minnesota Twins have demoted outfielder Byron Buxton to Triple A, the team announced.

In 17 games, Buxton was hitting .156 with four doubles, a triple, and two steals. He has also struck out 24 times in his 49 plate appearances.

The 22-year-old has only played 13 games at the Triple A level. In his 68 career baseball games, Buxton is hitting .195 with two home runs, eight RBI and 68 strikeouts.
