The New York Yankees have placed pitcher Luis Severino on the 15-day disabled list with a right triceps strain, the team announced Friday.

YSeverino left Friday’s game against the White Sox with elbow soreness and underwent an MRI. He won’t pitch for at least the next five to seven days.

Severino left the game in the third inning having already given up seven runs. He exited the game with his ERA at 7.46 for the season, making him the only MLB starter with an ERA over 7.00 for the season.

Severino’s play is far off the numbers he put up in 11 starts last season. In 2015, Severino threw 62 1/3 innings, going 5–3 with a 2.89 ERA and 56 strikeouts.

In 2016, Severino has allowed at least two runs in every start.
