The Tampa Bay Rays have placed second baseman Logan Forsythe on the 15-day disabled list due to a hairline fracture in his left scapula, the team announced Saturday.

Pitcher Danny Farquhar has been recalled from Triple-A Durham to take Forsythe’s place on the active roster.

Forsythe underwent an MRI on Friday that revealed the injury in his shoulder. The team has said that he will be reevaluated three weeks from when he suffered the injury on May 10.

Forsythe has played in 29 games for Tampa Bay this season, hitting .308 with four home runs and 12 RBIs. He has also committed two errors at second base.
