Detroit Tigers manager Brad Ausmus was ejected Monday in the fourth inning of a matchup against the Minnesota Twins.

After the Tigers scored eight runs in the first inning, the Twins battled back to narrow the deficit to 8–7 in the fourth. In the bottom of the inning, following Nick Castellanos’s strikeout, Ausmus was tossed by home plate umpire Doug Eddings for arguing balls and strikes.

Ausmus did not exit the game easily, however. After arguing with Eddings, Ausmus took off his sweatshirt and covered home plate with it before tossing his hat as he exited the field.
