Brandon Belt, Michael Saunders win All-Star Game Final Vote

Giants first baseman Brandon Belt and Blue Jays outfielder Michael Saunders are the winners of the MLB All-Star Game’s Final Vote, MLB announced Friday afternoon. The Final Vote is designed to give fans one last chance to vote for one additional player from each league to participate in the All-Star Game.

The two players are both first-time All-Stars.

Belt, 28, entered Friday hitting .300 with 10 home runs and 46 RBIs. The left-handed batter is on pace to surpass his career highs. 

Saunders, 29, entered Friday with a .298 average, 16 home runs and 41 RBIs.

The All-Star Game will be held in San Diego on Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET, and will be televised on Fox.
