Mets pitcher Bartolo Colon will replace Giants pitcher Madison Bumgarner on the National League All-Star team, MLB announced Friday. Bumgarner is ineligible to pitch in the July 12 game because he is scheduled to start this upcoming Sunday against the Diamondbacks.

Colon has started 17 games this season, boasting a 7–4 record with 65 strikeouts and a 3.28 ERA. He has previously been selected for the All-Star Game in 1998, 2005 and ‘13. Bumgarner, 26, is 9–4 this season with a 2.09 ERA and 132 strikeouts in 18 starts.

The Mets right-hander will join teammates Yoenis Cespedes, Jeurys Familia and Noah Syndergaard on the NL team.
