Marlins, Mets remember Jose Fernandez with emotional pregame ceremony

The Marlins and Mets held an emotional pregame ceremony to remember pitcher Jose Fernandez on Monday, who was killed in a boating accident Sunday.
Both teams lined up on the baseline with Fernandez’s initials and number written on their hats, and Miami dressed in Fernandez’s jersey. A moment of silence was held, ‘Take Me Out To The Ballgame’ was played, and both teams hugged afterward. The Marlins then knelt at the mound and drew Fernandez’s number in the dirt.
