Orioles manager Buck Showalter came out discuss the incident with the umpires. Orioles center fielder Adam Jones yelled and pointed at the fan in the stands. Toronto police officers were seen in the stands.

“That’s about as pathetic as it gets,’’ said Jones after the game. "You don’t do that. I don’t care how passionate you are. Yell. Cuss. Scream. Say we suck. We’re horrible. We get it. We’re the opponent. We completely understand that. I hope they find the guy and presses charges. He’s not looking. You could hit him in the back of the head and you knave know what could happen. That’s a full beer that’s being thrown. Throw an octopus. Throw hats.”

A Blue Jays spokesman said after the game that the fan left before he could be ejected by police. The police are investigating the incident.

Toronto released an organizational statement and apology on Wednesday.
