The Chicago Cubs have advanced to their first World Series since 1945 with a 5–0 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 6 of the NLCS, and their fans could not be happier.

Chicago got to Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw for five runs in the first five innings, which was more than enough for Cubs starter Kyle Hendricks. He allowed just two hits over 7 1/3 scoreless innings while striking out six. Aroldis Chapman then came on for a five-out save.

Next up, the Cubs will face the Cleveland Indians in the World Series, which begins on Tuesday.

Until then, Chicago will celebrate its heart out. Here is how some of the area teams and athletes are reacting.
