The Chicago Cubs can make their third straight National League Championship Series appearance with a victory over the Washington Nationals on Wednesday.

The game was originally scheduled to be played on Tuesday but was postponed because of rain.

The Cubs sent the Nationals to the brink of elimination with a 2–1 victory in Game 3, despite Max Scherzer allowing one hit in six-plus innings and the Cubs committing four errors.

Jake Arrieta takes the mound for the Cubs while Tanner Roark will look to keep the Nationals alive for at least one more game. The Nationals have only scored seven runs in the series first three games.

The winner of this division series will take on the Los Angeles Dodgers, who swept the Arizona Diamondbacks in the other NLDS. The NLCS will start on Saturday in Los Angeles.
